who rides without bodywork,

no matter the engine,

no matter the bike,

no matter the number of wheels

whenever you go for a ride

and hold a handlebar

or feel you belong to the riders' family

this message is for you :

 

riding is our passion,

alone or with others,

helmet, gloves, boots, jacket, back protector, pant

 

that gear  is restricting

most of people wonder if there is a life beyond death,

but many forget there is one before

be aware of the risks,

 

do it at least for the people who care about you

without gear you leave them an awful choice

for or against organ donation

so prove that you are mature

and that you are part of the riders’ family

The rider spirit is not in the garage

it's in the behavior

it's a state of mind

it's a way of life

 

and the full gear is proof

of our membership to that rider spirit

Ca me semble très bien à deux trois exceptions près. (bon je veux pas être relou c'est peut-être du chipotage et j'ai peut-être tort mais je pense qu'on peut en parler ça me ferait mal de publier un truc avec des coquilles).

 

Pour "we are kind of like heroes" ça fait très très oral je trouve, à l'écrit je me contenterais de mettre "we are like" ou "we are some kind of"

 

Je tique un petit peu sur "for or against" mais je pense que c'est parce que je suis habitué à employer l'expresison the pros and cons of smthg. Pour moi ça sonne plus naturel de mettre "pro or against...." (edit : c'est parce que je suis de langue latine. Et sinon pour "most of the people" ça me semble un peu dérangeant le "the" je le retirerais (argument : http://www.usingenglish.com/forum/threads/179742-most-people-and-most-of-the-people)

Tout me convient. De toute façon c'est comme en français, chaque anglophone qui lira ça aura préféré certaines tournures ou autres.

Après ça dépend si on veut donner un côté" cool" (avec les expressions plus orales) ou plus solennel (avec les expressions écrites). Et puis comme dit les dernières modifications sont basées sur de l'américain et non sur de l'anglais.

Pour le "for or against", je l'ai simplement pris sur le site du don d'organe britannique (première phrase dédiée au bouddhisme), donc truc officiel, à mon avis ils ne feront une faute sur ce genre de texte.

 

PS : au contraire il faut chipoter, parce que ça gâcherait tout des s'être fait chier à pondre un truc pareil et avoir des fautes grossières en traduction.
